Eventing started in the UK in 1949, since then it has been rapidly growing into an international sport with Badminton and Burghley attracting audiences of over 150,000 people a year. TV and press coverage is growing all the time even with a specific channel (Horse and Country Channel) showing many of the top events on the circuit.
